Description
Water-borne non-yellowing acrylate primer. Emissions classification of building material M1.
Examples of use
Concrete floors and stairs, in dry residential, commercial and storage premises. Suitable for dry floors exposed to light mechanical and chemical stress.
Suitable for priming new and previously untreated concrete floors before painting with Betolux Akva Floor Paint. The primer is well absorbed into concrete pores, improving the adhesion of the paint. It is also suitable as a dust-binding product for concrete floors.

Preparation
Remove laitance with a sanding machine. Remove sanding dust.
Application
Methods: brush, roller.
Thinning: if necessary, thin with water.
Priming Conditions
The surface of the concrete must be dry and at least 4 weeks old. Relative humidity of the concrete must be below 97%. During painting work and drying the temperature of the air, surface and paint must be at least 10ºC, and the relative humidity of the air below 80%. Do not apply on wet or nonabsorbing substrate.
Priming
Stir Betolux Akva Primer well before use.
Spread non-diluted Primer on the floor with a roller or brush. The amount of the Primer is adequate when it is absorbed into concrete pores and does not leave a varnish-like film on the surface.
The primed surface can be painted with Betolux Akva Floor Paint after approx. 2 hours under normal circumstances.

Drying Time
At 23°C, relative humidity of the air 50%: Over-coatable after approx. 2 hours.
Cleaning of Tools
Clean tools with water or Tikkurila Pensselipesu (Tool Cleaner).
Environmental
Empty cans should be recycled or disposed of in accordance with local regulations. Liquid waste should be destroyed according to the local regulations.
Health and Safety Classification
EC Directive 99/45/EC. The product is not classified as dangerous.
